SDL Website Tools and Design

I originally posted some ideas about the SDL website functionality and tools that are consumer facing in this link below

I am told that this is a more appropriate place for the post.

There are a few features for the website that I think are theoretically possible but I lack any of the technical understanding to know what can be done in a reasonable time at a reasonable cost. I will simple list some items and their benefits.

  • Priority Pool Queue Rank
  • SDL/reSDL Queue Rank
** Could be displayed as a wallet rank, or as a “link tokens ahead of your tokens” rank
    ** Visible within dashboard
** On landing page show “link ahead of you without SDL” in a large display
** On landing page below the “LINK ahead of you without SDL” display you would have a separate table that shows how much SDL/reSDL you can own to move ahead of certain key levels
** SDL/reSDL levels would have a display of minimum required at different lock levels

I believe this is one of the most important things that can be done for a few reasons

  • Having this on the SDL landing page gives a central location that everyone knows about where they can check the state of the priority pool.
  • This acts as a reference point for the community pool status by giving insights that cannot be found anywhere else. Even non-SDL holders can use this which naturally exposes them to the project
  • People will share the metrics. They will do this out of curiosity, anger, etc. It’s a data point to talk about and speculate on.
  • There is a priority pool congestion event that is coming that will make this necessary for people to get LINK staking access

On the landing page is the best place for it because it is a marketing tool and a tool that potential consumers can use to find out the cost of liquid staking. They are given the option of waiting it out or seeing how much it costs to jump the line.
When the priority pool becomes congested SDL/reSDL holders will be the only people getting in. Having this tool allows a consumer to see where they stand and decide how much they want to pay for access. With reSDL multipliers being automatically figured they can bid for their place in the queue with more confidence.
Having SDL/reSDL tiers in tiers is probably necessary for this. Even and simple numbers can be used in either linear or exponential scale OR you can show break points where you can get significantly further ahead in the queue by buying chunks of SDL. This can create Bid Zones for SDL that reach parity with relative LINK stack sizes.
